Thanga is a partner in PwC Singapore’s – Regulatory Risk and Compliance practice specialising in regulatory reporting analysis, redesign and implementation. He has over 18 years of financial service experience from Singapore and United Kingdom.

​ ​ Thanga is familiar with all the regulatory requirement for a Bank in Singapore. Thanga has led projects in Singapore as well as within the Asia Pac region for both local and multinational clients across different areas such as: ​

• Lead Partner for the MAS610 Open Taxonomy initiative. This is an initiative for a MAS 610 Taxonomy in collaboration with data modelling vendors, 9 Founding Banks and funding from MAS. ​
• Project lead for large-scale regulatory reporting system implementation working with external vendor for a large European Bank covering 8 countries in Asia Pac (Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Philippine, Singapore and South Korea)​.
​
• Project lead for MAS banking licence application, for more than 5 bank entities in Singapore. The Banks successfully received their licenses. ​
• Conducted annual review of 20+ banks and capital markets institutions covering MAS regulatory hotspots areas and relevant policies and procedures. This includes assessing relevant control and processes , recommending MAS expected standards and reviewing the remedial actions of financial institutions to address regulator’s inspection findings concerning weaknesses in regulatory reporting compliance matters.​
• Engagement Partner for reviewing complex MAS Regulatory Return (e.g. MAS 610, 639, 755, 601 , 650 etc) for reporting data analysis, data quality enhancement, advisory & compliance against relevant standards​

He has led various industry discussion on regulatory reporting together with Singapore regulators and external vendors. Thanga is also a regular speaker in FS conferences; most recently he was involved in ABA Workshop on Building Digital Infrastructure for Inclusive Banking organised by The Association on Banks in Singapore (ABS) and Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) . He was also a presenter and judge in the Singapore Fintech Festival.

Julia Leong

Partner, Digital Regulatory Risk & Compliance

Julia is a partner with our Digital Regulatory Risk & Compliance practice in PwC Singapore. She is a risk and transformation specialist advising banks, wealth managers, capital markets intermediaries and non-FIs on digital transformation strategy and execution, risk & regulations, controls and governance.

With over 20 years of experience, she has led core banking, compliance, operational risk, finance transformation programmes, corporate governance, ERM and internal audit reviews. Clients value her partnership to connect the dots and co-create pragmatic, best-fit solutions for them.

Prior to her current role, she has assumed various leadership roles at firm-level as private banking industry lead, banking governance, risk and compliance and digital transformation services leader.

Outside of client work, Julia is active in giving back with board directorship and mentoring. She currently serves as the Audit Chairperson and as a director on the Board of Trustees for ISEAS (Institute of Southeast Asian Studies, an MOE statutory board), board member of the Building Construction Authority and committee member of the Governance and Audit Committee of Singapore Heart Foundation. She is a mentor with Young Women Leadership Connection and Mentorship.

LEE Bing Yi

Partner, Sustainability and Climate Change

Bing Yi is a Partner in PwC Singapore’s Sustainability and Climate Change practice, supporting organisations in sustainability strategy, risk management, reporting and assurance across various industries including banks, asset managers, real estate as well as other large corporates. He is the Banking ESG lead at PwC Singapore and has led various sustainability assurance and advisory engagements in his career focusing on sustainable financing, sustainability reporting and climate risk management.​

Aside from his specialism in ESG, Bing Yi is also a Banking & Capital Markets specialist and a practicing public accountant, experienced in providing audit, assurance and advisory services to various banks and financial institutions in Singapore and Australia.​ Bing Yi is currently part of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) Sustainability Reporting Quality Sub-Committee, Asia Securities Industry & Financial Markets Association (ASIFMA) sustainable finance working group and REIT Association of Singapore (REITAS) Sustainability Task Force. He also serves as a member of the Cross-Industry Expert Panel for the School of Business & Accountancy, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, and the Advisory Panel for the Singapore Department of Statistics.​

Danny Lim

Director South-East Asia

Danny has over 25 years of experience in effecting digital change in the Capital Markets. Danny first started out in delivering market data solutions in South-East Asia. Following which he implemented Order Management Systems to the buyside with a focus in North Asia at the time when most pre trade decision making were done manually. Subsequently, he expanded the solution spectrum to the capital markets with a focus on enterprise data management, performance measurement and attribution, Investment accounting and Securities Services Solutions. Danny has led several sales teams in delivering bespoke solutions for the capital markets in Asia Pacific.

Danny is currently the Director South-East Asia, part of our Sales team to support a Future Fit AGILE reporter platform.

Dmitry Rozenfeld

Head, Business Solutions, APAC & MIDDLE EAST

Dmitry is an experienced professional with 15 years of experience in the banking industry. He has been with Vermeg for over 8 years across various roles supporting the product and sales teams.

Dmitry’s career began in New York City where he worked at global banks like UBS, BNP Paribas, BONY Mellon, and Morgan Stanley before joining VERMEG with his primary focus on derivatives Collateral Management, operational risk management and regulatory compliance. Dmitry relocated to Singapore in 2016 where he has been a key contributor to VERMEG’s overall growth across their entire product suite.

Mark Shead

Head of Regulatory Innovation

Mark has over 20 years of experience in delivering technical change, the last 12 years of which have been spent in RegTech. Mark first started out in RegTech leading the ‘Harmonised Reporting’ program for the FCA and BoE, delivering the technical changes required for Basel III/CRD IV and XBRL regulatory reporting. Following the successful delivery of this program, Mark joined BearingPoint where he built and led the UK RegTech practice including winning awards for innovation at the FCA’s ‘Unlocking Regulatory Reporting’ TechSprint, sowing the seeds for Digital Regulatory Reporting (DRR), and for the use of semantic technology in solving complex issues.

Mark is currently the Head of Regulatory Innovation at Vermeg, working in our Product team to support a Future Fit AGILE reporter platform whilst providing support across our global sales and marketing teams.

Pavan ​Pothuraju

Head of Regulatory Product Management, APAC

Pavan is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in the banking industry. He has been an integral part of Vermeg for over 7 years, playing a crucial role in driving innovation and product strategy in the region. ​

At Vermeg, he was instrumental in successfully delivering some of the major regulatory programs to the clients like, MAS610 regulations in Singapore, EFS regulations in Australia, GDR regulations in Hong Kong. ​

Before joining Vermeg, he worked at global banks like Barclays, Credit Suisse, and Citi bank, with his primary focus on Financial, Non-financial and Risk related reporting requirements. Notably, his extensive experience and proficiency in navigating the regulatory landscape have allowed him to successfully collaborate and work on various reporting requirements published by various industry regulators like APRA, MAS, HKMA, RBI. Outside of core work, his other areas of interest are ESG and Blockchain.
