The event brought together global buy- and sell-side institutions, market infrastructures, and service providers to explore the latest developments in repos, securities lending, collateral management, post-trade, and financial innovation.

Nimoh Mohankumar, Sales Director for the Americas at Vermeg, has moderated the Panel on Collateral Management & Innovation. The discussion explored the industry’s evolution in managing exposure, from the back office, to the middle office, and now the front office, as firms seek to reduce costs, improve operational efficiency, and optimise collateral strategies.
The conversation highlighted that effective collateral optimisation goes far beyond cheapest-to-deliver (CTD) considerations. Time zones, settlement priorities, and operational processes all play a crucial role. Optimisation must be viewed holistically, within the broader context of exposure management, prime brokerage activity, and external liquidity raising.
In addition, Ines Issa, Deputy Director for the Americas at Vermeg, joined the event, reinforcing our commitment to collaborating closely with market participants in shaping the future of the industry.
